Throughout the Reston community, there are lots of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Reston has restaurants and bars of all kinds! When people are craving a nice American steak, they head to Melrose Grill. For French and Italian fare in a bistro environment, residents love Peyrassol Cafe. Delicious artisanal pizza within a unique sci-fi-themed environment can be found at Smoking Monkey Pizza.
One popular shopping destination is Reston Town Center. It’s a shopping mall and entertainment facility that has almost every kind of store you could think of. Beyond the shopping, it also has restaurants, a movie theater playing the latest films, an ice rink in the winter months, and even hosts fitness events.
From April through to December, Reston Farmers Market is a place where you can purchase the freshest produce, food, and explore products sold by the local farmers of the Reston area.
Things to Do
There is a wide range of fun things happening all the time in Reston, from outdoor recreation to community events.
Outdoor recreation in Reston is always exciting. There are 50+ miles of walking trails, community tennis courts, community pools, places to play spots, and parks of all kinds. One place to take in the outdoors is the Vernon J. Walker Nature Education Center, which has spots for picnics, nature exhibits, and even programs for kids.
Visiting the historic Lake Anne is another excellent way to spend time in Reston. Not only can you take in some beautiful architecture, the lake, and the scenery of this area, but it also hosts plenty of events throughout the year. Some favorites include craft markets and music festivals.
